The app may access installed apps on the device using the QUERY_ALL_PACKAGES permission so users can manage internet access for specific apps.


This information remains on your device and is not shared externally.


d) Notifications


HOLGuard may request notification permission to:


Inform users when internet blocking is active


Provide status updates for monitoring services


2. Permissions Used


HOLGuard – Internet Blocker may request the following Android permissions to provide its functionality:


INTERNET – Required to perform internet speed tests.


ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE – To detect network connectivity status.


FOREGROUND_SERVICE – Required to run monitoring services in the background.


FOREGROUND_SERVICE_TYPE_VPN – Used to manage internet blocking functionality.


POST_NOTIFICATIONS – To display important service notifications.


PACKAGE_USAGE_STATS – To identify apps selected by the user for internet control.


QUERY_ALL_PACKAGES – To allow the user to view and manage internet access for installed apps.


READ_NETWORK_USAGE_HISTORY – To display data usage statistics.


These permissions are used only for the functionality of the app.

HOLGuard – Internet Blocker does not collect, store, or share personal user data with third parties.


All monitoring and control features operate locally on the user's device.

HOLGuard does not route user internet traffic through external servers and does not collect, store, or share browsing data.

The VPN service is used strictly for the following purposes:

Blocking internet access for specific apps selected by the user

Monitoring data usage statistics

Enabling network control features inside the application

All network processing happens locally on the user’s device.

HOLGuard does not inspect, log, store, or transmit sensitive user data, including:

Browsing history

Internet traffic content

Personal data

The VPN permission is used only to provide the internet blocking functionality requested by the user.
